ABOUT US

Summit Tutoring was founded by Matthew Lovett, CJ McDougall, and Zane Tennison. We are High School students who are passionate about teaching and want a chance to give back to the community. Our team is dedicated to creating an environment where our students are encouraged to make mistakes, learn, and gather knowledge. Academics can be very pressuring, and frustrating. At Summit Tutoring we understand that and give a personalized approach to each one of our students. Our tutors are looking forward to working with and getting to know their students to guide them to success.

OUR SERVICES

$30/hour

In-Person Tutoring

High-quality tutoring in person, available in all subjects up to the grade 10 course level (follows Alberta curriculum). We offer in-home or at a public location such as a library.

Online Tutoring

A more affordable option to our In-Person tutoring. We offer our services through online platforms such as Google Meet and Zoom.

Duo/Group Tutoring

Our group sessions are available both online and in person for students needing similar academic help. We offer a discount for each person added, and allow up to 3 students for each session.

**We offer a free consultation to assess the student's learning goals before you have to make a commitment**

Travel Fee

Depending on the location of the tutoring relative to the tutor, a small travel fee might be included. This will be no more than about $2-$4.

OUR TUTORS

MATTHEW LOVETT

Matthew attends Bishop Carroll High School in the self-directed program. He enjoys subjects like Math, Physics and Social Studies while engaging in his school’s student council. Matt has played piano for 11 years and also offers piano lessons. He is a high-90s student and is passionate about teaching.

ZANE TENNISON

Zane attends Sir Winston Churchill High School in the partial IB program. He has a love for learning and enjoys subjects like English and Social Studies. Zane is an experienced tutor being part of Student Support Churchill having tutored multiple students.

CJ MCDOUGALL

CJ attends Sir Winston Churchill High School. He is passionate about Physics and Social Studies and loves learning new things at school. CJ participates in the Model UN and debate clubs at Churchill and is excited to help his tutees succeed in academics and beyond.
